BIO

Luis began working with the Starck family in 1987 upon graduation from City College, where he earned a BA degree in studio art.  He received in-depth training in theory and practice in the visual arts, which set a foundation in design.  According to Luis, his experience includes “any room in the house.”  During the course of his career, he has produced a wide range of designs including libraries, mud rooms and kitchens, from contemporary to traditional styles.  He enjoys listening to the client’s specific working space needs and designing the specifics to fit those needs, such as cooking hearths, hutches and islands.  This knowledgeable designer says he loves “the challenge of scaling these components to a room and designing them so they relate well to one another."

"We have heard of Showcase Kitchen because we lived in Manhasset. And that in itself was great luck on our part. We moving to Manhattan and renovating a loft in Tribeca. We had visited all the high end kitchen design places but were overwhelmed by pushy sales people, nose bleed pricing and unpleasant service. We went into Showcase Kitchen. met Luis Viteri and a new kitchen was born. We settled on a CESAR kitchen that is walnut faced to compliment the white washed brick walls. All hardware is German made for precise open and closing of cabinets. Refrigerator and dishwashers were paneled to give a sleek modern yet warm look to the kitchen. The pull out drawers in the kitchen makes accessing to utensils and food seasonings more easy. Luis also suggested extra cabinets underneath the kitchen island which was a wonderful idea. Lastly, Showcase was kind enough to store our finished kitchen until the area in our loft was ready. THAT is called service. All in all a wonderful experience.
